About Us
Benishyaka
Benishyaka is a national non-governmental organization formed in July 1995 with the aim of addressing the socio-economic needs of vulnerable communities in Rwanda, specifically focusing on women, girls and people with disabilities in their rural communities.
For nearly three decades, Benishyaka has served as a model for creating empowered, self-reliant communities — restoring hope and transforming lives through knowledge, skills, and access to capital for sustainable development.
Benishyaka believes that lasting development cannot be achieved unless women and vulnerable people are included, their rights respected, and their voices heard at every level of society.
